This term we have learning to be socially responsible by contributing to our classroom and school community. During group work the students are all expected to contribute to the assignment and to accept each others ideas with respect. Also, the students all have responsibilities within the classroom. They take these responsibilities very seriously and our classroom runs very smoothly because of everyone's help.
During the past week we have practicing solving problems peacefully. We use A B C D to help us.
A- Ask what the problem is
B- Brainstorm solutions
C- Choose the best solution
D-Do it
Remembrance Day has provided opportunity for more discussion of "Peace".
Here are some of the student's ideas.
Peace is being nice to people
Peace is helping others
Peace is following the rules and getting along
Peace is not killing living things
Peace is not arguing
Peace helps the world
In the words of the one of the songs the choir sang today at our Assembly- "May you find peace in your hearts and peace of mind" this Remembrance Day.
