April 27, 2012
Congratulations to Claire, Finn, Kaylee, Kate, Alexandra, Trace, Lene, Elias and Savannah on earning their 10 km ribbons.  That's 30 times around the gravel field!
We had a visit from Elmer the Safety Elephant today.  He reminded us about safety rules and how to take care of our bikes.  For homework, the children have been asked to check their bike helmets (if they have one) to make sure they fit properly.
In Science, we are learning about the needs of living things.  We have a tank of frog's eggs (or tadpole eggs, as the children call them), and we will be watching them as they change and grow.
Thank you for sending in empty 'soup sized' cans.  We are still in need of a few and would appreciate extras if you have any.  Thank you for your recipes as well.  Please send these in soon if you haven't already done so.
Have a great weekend!
